That was another time, a wonderful time. Today both parties are corrupt, the people are corrupt. I am ashamed and embarrassed at the state of our nation today.Our freedoms are disappearing, our morality is disappearing. I am excited that RFK jr has thrown his hat into the ring. He is the only one who clean up his party. Lets just hope the CIA won't get him like it killed his uncle and his father.

Wishing we had political leadership with the same loyalty, dignity and integrity as JFK. His intelligence, presence of mind and wisdom are striking in a world gone mad with self serving lunatics who command billions to produce endless propaganda and crank out one circus show after another. The rogues of extremism today with their ability and determination to bully, push and force their way into political office have done great damage to our American culture.
Yes, America was once a much greater nation. I believe there remain many more young women and men with similar gifts of character who with sterling reputation and a proven commitment to our nation are as capable as what is here on display in this debate. However, we won't benefit from their leadership without soberness of mind and a serious self examination to lead us back again to our individual responsibilities to form such a government. Without fair and open elections and without a protected, free and unfettered access to voting for all Americans, it is doubtful that we can ever achieve the foundations of a greater society and as many advancements as our ancestors had so kindly laid out for us to enjoy and to build upon.

I saw Kennedy when he was in the UK. Whilst he had a car with 4 secret agents following his (on the way to church) the window of hos car was wound down, I shouted to him and he looked at me - something I shall never forget. What I am saying is his body guards rode on the running boards of their cars, guns in hand. Those on the right right handed, those on the left left handed. It was a spectacular sight. However I could have shot at him through that window if I had wanted. Fortunately I was a supporter!
What really stands out is his perfect sun-bronzed skin. It was worth my standing on the cold roadside for an hour. I shall never forget him.
So the film is a bit scratchy! We only had 2 channels when he was around, 405 lines black and white, often covered in interference. You don't know how lucky you are in the 4k era!

Why some are complaining about this video is beyond my understanding. It appears to work fine for me. Maybe the complainers should go do something else. Like go admire their idiotic TEA PARTY, or drool over the photo of their wanna be girlfriend Sarah Palin.
No offense to the normal person who admires the TEA PARTY or Palin (which is rare) but it is almost like after that bunch entered the picture, the internet became filled with haters. It especially makes no sense to me on this site where you can download movies for free.
The Internet Archive did not have to offer a free service but they did. Be glad that they are here, preserving our history, and teaching us about the past. As the old saying goes "Those who do not know about history is doomed to repeat it." And from some of the idiotic comments I have read recently on this site, there will be many repeating the course.

I enjoy seeing parts of history in a movie or reading it in an e-book, on my schedule. I was born in 1962. Without IA's structure, uploaders, we would not have this site, for our viewing/reading pleasure. IA is great!!
The uploaders/staff/volunteers etc., on IA are AMAZING! THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR ALL YOUR TIME & EFFORT. I TRUELY ENJOY and use IA DAILY. The movies today do not resonate with me. Some are OK but?? My husband tells everyone that I am an addicted IA/TCM fanatic wife. :) :)
WITHOUT INTERNET ARCHIVES, I would not have access to classic movies, commercials and e-books from the 17th-19th century. I have discovered authors that I did know about, Wilke Collins, Anthony Trollop & many more.
As this is a free site, WE should be Respectful and Grateful to all involved with IA. All of US are human, there will be mistakes, but consider this, look at how many movies are A-OK. We all know things happen eh hmmmmmmmmmmm:)
If any of US see a problem with sound/picture quality/copywrite issue etc., send an e-mail to IA. Do not get hysterical, or start swearing on the page etc. As they say on Dragnet, "just the facts reviewer, just the facts"

I was shocked at reading the most recent review! As an educator, I cannot imagine someone who did not know President Kennedy was assassinated in November 1963.
We have come a long way since the 1960s and I do not believe poverty is such an issue. I do agree that we have fewer liberties than we had then, but you can look to the Congressional participants that followed for the answers.

It would seem , listening to Kennedy, that we have accomplished none of his wishes...or very few!
Poverty is worse than ever ,our schools are cutting their budget and Corporatism has taken over totally. We are less Free now by far than in 1960. What happened Mr. Kennedy, Mr. Nixon ?

Nixon was coming from the hospital due to illness and did not shave.
Kennedy was tanned and rested and had the benefit of studio makeup.
Those who watched the debate thought Kennedy had one, those that heard it on the radio thought Nixon won.
I heard this on the radio and thought it was interesting.

Kennedy sounds a lot more conservative than I remembered at that time. He and Nixon were worthy opponents but they were definitely facing the future with courage and hope. Appearance wise Kennedy looked more at ease than Nixon but laws are signed behind closed doors by people holding pens in their hands, without cameras recording hairdos and suite colors.

I too agree that it is simply ridiculous for people to be complaining about sound quality and whatnot. Give me a break you guys are losers.

I can't believe the attitude expressed by some of the reviewers here...this is a free resource of thousands of films, do you have any idea how much work it takes to maintain it? The archive relies of users to alert them to problems, not to make snide comments and unreasonable demands of a FREE resource...
Regardless of what you think of Nixon and Kennedy, it is a part of history that need to be easily available...should we just burn the films just 'cause we find them distasteful? Perhaps we should delete Hitler from the history books as well...

I use this for my high school history class, and project it on a big screen, however the larger downloadable MPEG2 does not have any sound attached. This site has a number of excellent primary resources, this being one, however it was a major disappointment that I wasn't able to use it.

What's going on here. With this stream the audio is too fast. I tried to stream some of the Panucci montages earlier on and the audio was running too slowly. Does anyone maintain this site??

mpeg-4 audio is messed up. Sounds like chipmunks.
